Sally, Just learned of Garry's death. You have my deepest sympathy. It was so good to reconnect with him for awhile a number of years ago. I have good college memories of our times together. Blessings!

Today we said our goodbyes and lay you to rest in peace. It is clear that your spark will be missed by many that will remember your kindness, witty humor, unconditional generosity, your passion for science and learning as well as the love you gave to your family and friends. You inspired me to embrace education and higher learning. I have no doubt that Noah was right there to greet his grandpa with open arms. You were special and unique Garry, I will miss you!

Gary was a real support for me at Cincinnati Country Day as I tried to upgrade the library to something more than a study hall or recreation center. I valued his friendship and support and am saddened to hear of his death - too soon! My deepest sympathy to his family.

Colleagues at Albuquerque Academy for a number of years, Gary and I shared a love of big band jazz. We played a bit together in the "geezer" band that some of us threw together in the mid-nineties. A man of great integrity. You will be missed, my friend.

Garry was a colleague and my best friend at Albuquerque Academy for 25 years, as well as a good friend outside of school. His joy of teaching was always an inspiration to me, and his dedication to every student, his sense of humor and joy in life, and his absolute honesty kept me on my toes each and every day. Knowing him and working with him made me a better teacher and a better person. He is missed, but he will live on in the memories I have of the laughter, the shared frustrations and joy, the hours we worked and planned together, and the good and bad times we shared and helped each other through during those 25 years.
My most sincere condolences to Sally and his family.

Gary was always great fun to be with, and I especially apprciated his insight into school issues, seeing things clearly and concisely, often from a different perspective from my own. He was one of my favorite colleagues. You were a good man, Gary Davis..
