Anna Pratt Obituary
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, May 9, at 6:30 p.m. at the Alaska Native Heritage Center, 8800 Heritage Center Drive in Anchorage (near Bartlett High School). Please join us for this celebration and to share memories and stories of Anna's life.
Anna was born at home in St. Mary's to Daniel and Theresa Stevens on June 12, 1957. Anna attended St. Mary's Catholic High School and graduated in 1975. She attended college at Fort Wright College of the Holy Names in Spokane, Wash. Anna met her husband, Jon, in St. Mary's in 1976.
Anna belonged to many organizations and traveled extensively in rural Alaska. She was a member of the Yupiit of Andreafsky board of directors. She was affiliated with the Catholic and Community of Christ Church. Anna spent many years working in the aviation industry as a station manager for Wien, Seair and Ryan Air.
She was an avid outdoorswoman, boat captain, adventurer, crack shot, basketball player, mother and wife extraordinaire.
Anna will be remembered for her quick and authentic laugh, beauty, compassion and generosity.
Anna is survived by her husband, Jon; son, Joshua; daughter, Danielle; father and mother, Dan and Theresa Stevens; nine brothers and sisters; and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

Some things just hit you without seeing them coming, I just heard of Anna's passing yesterday, and was so struck that this lovely lady and friend would no longer spread her warm smile when chance would bring us near. I pray all her family is comforted in knowing so many miss her. I pray also that she was a true believer and I can look forward to seeing her again one day. God Bless you all.

Jon,Danielle,Joshua, my deepest sympathy to you,words can not express how I feel. She was always there for us,always spreading her love,joy,kind,caring,happy words all over! Always ready to give you positive advice when I needed it.We talked on the phone often and laughed all the time! I will miss her boisterous laugh! We will miss you lots Auntie Anna!

It was a shock to hear of Anna's passing. Anna was just recently elected and served on the Board of Directors of Nerklikmute Native Corporation of Andreafski. She was a very vibirant person and will be truly missed. Condolences to the Pratt and Stevens family.

When you listen closely to the Yupik who love one and other, there is never a goodbye, goodbye. They say, "A short good bye and we'll see one another again." I met Anna during the old Yute Air days. She was wonderful to work with, although we were stationed in different areas.
She was a very friendly out going young lady.

She was supportive to her family....I bumped into her at the State Cross Country Meet where she came to support her cousin from Stebbins...Her athletic spirit (including playing basketball) is obvious in her children. Keep on reaching for the best as she did...

My condolences to the families of our most beautiful Anna. My dear beautiful friend, thank you for giving of yourself through your kindness, compassion, generosity, friendship and most of all your love. I thank God for bringing you to me as children in St. Marys. You befriended me and welcomed me to your village. Ever since then, we continued our friendship no matter where we were. I am blessed to have seen you on your last trip through here even if we didn't have much time, your beauty, embrace, grateful greeting, your smile told it all. May you now rest in peace as your last journey home embraced and truely welcomed by your loved ones whom have gone before you. I will see you again one day my friend. My Condolences to the Pratt Family for their loss. I never expected Anna to leave us so soon. I worked with her years ago at A/PIA. She was so full of life, cheerful, had empathy for others and was a true friend. The things I loved most about Anna was her laugh and her bubbly personality. I am so very sorry to hear the sad news of Anna. She was such a beautiful women. Anna loved her children and was always so proud of the accomplishments of Josh and Danielle. Several years ago I worked with Anna and enjoyed her humor and whit. Anna had such a great smile and her laugh was something I will always remember. To the Family of Anna; I have known her for some time now, i met her at my old work Cook Inlet Tribal council. I never thought i would see her in the paper, she was a very nice person. Always had that smile.

My thoughts & prayers to Anna's mom & dad, Theresa & Dan, all her brothers and sisters, her husband Jon, daughter, Daniel, and son Joshua. I will miss running into her on our travels, summers in St.Mary's to cut fish for our families, and in Anchorage. It was great working with her at the airport with Wein and SeaAir. Anna had so much knowledge with technology, she taught me to use the computer quickly. Anna was such a wonderful mother to her children, a daughter to her parents, a sister to her family, and to all those she met in life as a friend.
