Olaug Rodli Obituary
Oli was born in Portland, Ore., the daughter of Conrad and Helga Rodli. They moved to Newport, Ore., in 1931. After graduating from Newport High School in 1940, Oli moved for a few years to Astoria, Ore., where she worked as a nanny for Sen. Norblad.
Following that, she moved to Anchorage, where she was a bank teller and eventually worked for many years at the Alaska Native Hospital.
Oli returned to Albany in 1999.
Oli is survived by her brother, Rev. Kenneth Rodli of Albany, and her sister, Henrietta Halverson of Newport.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Sidolf, Carl and Wyndal Rodli; and sister, Agnes Rodli.
Burial was at Eureka Cemetery in Newport.
A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday, June 18, at the Family Worship Center, 515 Queen Ave. SE, Albany, OR 97322.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Family Worship Center and sent in care of Fisher Funeral Home, 306 Washington St. SW, Albany, OR 97321 (www.fisherfuneralhome.com).

Oli was a very special friend to me and I am thankful that I knew her for almost sixty years. I am grateful that I saw her a few months ago before she went to be with the Lord. She was a wonderful part of our Anchorage church family. Kelly Christenson

I'm thankful for having known Oli for over 40 years as my mother's close friend and for her kindnesses to me personally. I still remember being given a beaded white purse for highschool graduation and later, an ivory pepper mill as a wedding present. I pray the Good Shepherd leads her to green pastures and still waters and may her memory be eternal. -Dianne Cranor

Oli Rodli was my mother Mary Ingalsbe's lifelong dear dear friend. They worked together at the Alaska Native Hospital, shared laughter and life's challenges, and now can share time together in heaven. I remember well how excited Oli was to move to her own townhouse and to have her delightful dog in those years before my mother died in 1997 and Oli moved to Oregon. I remember too her delightful sense of humor and twinkle in her eye. I am ever so glad that she had the opportunity to live near her family this past decade. Oli was a kind gentle wonderful woman. I was truly privileged to know her. My thoughts and prayers are with you as a family.
