Mike: as I was playing softball at Park Rd Park (Charlotte) the other morning, through the trees I got a glimpse of your old house on Archdale. As many years as I have played there I never realized your house was that close to the ball fields. I started thinking of your parents (our moms were part of the “cafeteria crew”). We have the world at our fingertips, so I thought I would look up your parents. I was so so sad to read of your father’s passing. What a nice tribute to your dad. I have endearing memories of how generous you and your dad were to stop and take me to school in his cute little white car. In college, before they moved to Alaska, I would stop by and visit them on my way back up to UNCA. They always supplied me with a few goodies to take back with me. Your dad gave me a popcorn popper, which I used many times. Many memories I will always treasure. I pray God continues to wrap His loving arms around you and your family.
Sincerely,
Nancy Miller Bolten
