Carl Moses

Carl Eugene Moses, 84, passed away April 30, 2014, at home in Sand Point, Alaska. A Celebration of Life gathering will be May 8th at 5 p.m. at Snow Goose Theater located at 717 West 3rd Avenue in Anchorage.

Carl was born on July 16, 1929 in Santa Cruz, California. He had 6 years of primary education Sanak, Military GED and 2 years at the University of Washington. He served in the Territorial Guard, US Army Artillery entered at Elmendorf AFB 1951 and discharged from Ft Richardson in 1953. He became a resident of Alaska in 1931 and lived in Pauloff Harbor, False Pass, King Cove, Unalaska, Sand Point, Anchorage and Juneau. He worked for Peter Pan Seafood's, was a Fisherman and owner of Carl's Commercial, he served as a member of the Alaska State Legislature and the Aleut Corp. He had a small boat harbor named for him in Unalaska. In his free time Carl loved poker and politics.

His family stated, "He was a highly accomplished person who lived by the motto of "You can get a lot done if you don't care who gets the credit."

He is survived by his wife, Laresa Moses; her sons, Patrick, Ti, PJ and Mepp Dushkin; his children, Lewis Moses, Arline DeBakker; and 12 grandchildren.
