Luis Preciado Obituary
Luis Preciado peacefully went to be with the Lord on October 22, 2017, at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on December 21st, 1931, growing up in Bent, New Mexico until he joined the army serving in the Korean War.
He returned home from the war to work civil service at HAFB where he retired after 22 years. He then met and married his first wife, Magdalena Castillo, until her passing. Then he married his current wife, Florence in Feb. 1975. Their families were then joined together to begin a new chapter in life. He loved, adored and respected Florence as an amazing wife and best friend including being a mother of over 42 years to their children.
Luis is survived by his wife, Florence Preciado; his children, Mary Lerma, Veronica (Betty) Preciado, Albert Preciado, Alex Preciado, Angie Creer, Louis Preciado Jr. & Becky, Estevan Balderrama & Kelly, Edward Balderrama & Amanda, Joe Preciado & Anna; also survived by his widowed daughter-in-law, MaryEllen Preciado; also 23 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete & Conception Telles-Preciado; his first wife, Magdalena Castillo Preciado; his siblings, Ray Preciado, Anita Baldonado & Lola Candelaria; following by his children, Margaret (Cookie), Matthew and Juan.
The Celebration of Life for Luis will take place on Saturday October 28th 2017.
The Rosary will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by visitation at 10:30 a.m. and Mass will begin promptly at 11:00 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Church. Graveside Service with full military honors will immediately follow at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Potluck Reception will be held after service at the I.C.C. Parish Hall.
Pallbearers include Mary Lerma, Veronica Preciado, Albert Preciado, Alex Preciado, Angie Creer, Louis Preciado, Estevan Balderrama and Edward Balderrama.
Honorary pallbearers include grandkids, Estevan Lerma, Louis Lerma, Malcolm Edison, Lily Ashford, Luista Preciado, Victoria Preciado, Junebug Preciado, Mister Creer, Elbony Creer, Maggie Landin, Amanda Gray. Daniel Preciado, Jessica Kruszewski, Matthew Preciado, Aubrienne Balderrama-Montoya, Lanie Denton, Taylor Preciado, Jordan Preciado, Sebastyen Preciado, Ruben Preciado, Andres Preciado, Darius Creer and Leighton Creer.
