Kontoff, Annemarie 6/12/1928 - 7/23/2016 Ann Arbor, MI Annemarie Kontoff, formerly of Massachusetts, passed away on Saturday, July 23, in Ann Arbor, MI. She was born in Germany and emigrated to the US in 1957. She married Milton Kontoff in 1962 and they raised their daughters, Melissa and Amy in Franklin, MA. After Milt passed away in June 1983, Annemarie moved to Hopedale, MA, and volunteered at the Milford Regional Medical Center for many years. She loved to travel and especially enjoyed time on Cape Cod and in Vermont. She adored her grandchildren and her pride showed at their many sporting events, concerts, and plays. Annemarie is survived by daughters Melissa Eljamal and her husband Akram of Ann Arbor, MI, and Amy Shaefer and her husband Stephen of Moretown, VT, as well as her grandchildren Mekarem and Khalil Eljamal of Ann Arbor and Ryan Shaefer of New York City. Services will be held in her former home state of MA on July 28. Calling hours will be held at the home of Melissa Eljamal on Sunday, July 31, 4-6pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the charity of your choice.
