Joel Stanfield Obituary

Memorial service for Joel Dennis Stanfield, 56, of Anniston, will be 3 p.m. today, January 7, 2012, at Gray Brown-Service with the Rev. Don Carroll officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Survivors include mother, Joyce Stanfield Hicks and husband, James; sister, Brenda S. Moore and husband, Michael; nephew, Jeramie Moore and wife, Sallie; niece, Lindsay M. Humphries and husband, Todd; two great-nieces and three great-nephews. Mr. Stanfield is preceded in death by father, Bobby Lee Stanfield; and brother, Barry Duane Stanfield. Mr. Stanfield was a longtime resident of Anniston and a graduate of Weaver High School. He was an outdoorsman where he enjoyed spending time hunting. He had a great love for Indian culture and collected arrowheads. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Golden Spring Baptist Church or the American Heart Foundation. Online condolences made at www.graybrownservice.com.
