Edward Perrin Obituary

Edward L. Perrin Sr., 73, of Sea Girt, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2011 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Born and raised in New York, he had lived in Park Ridge, and then in Princeton Junction before moving to Sea Girt in 1991. He was a graduate of Manhattan College, receiving his B.B.A. and MS; he was also a member of the Manhattan College Alumni Association, Bergen County Chapter, serving as the Treasurer. He was a member of the Spring Lake Golf Club and the Sea View Country Club, Galloway Twp. and had been very active in the Park Ridge Athletic Association, serving as a Board Member. He was a self employed Certified Public Accountant, and had worked for Price Waterhouse/Coopers, Princeton, the NJ Hospital Association, Princeton Junction, and BlueCross of Newark. He was a member of the American Institute of CPA's, the NJ State Society of CPA's, the Healthcare Financial Management Association, NJ Chapter.

Edward was predeceased by his father Leonard S. and mother Catherine Slattery Perrin, and his dear daughter Christine Perrin in 2008. He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years Rita Sparrow Perrin, his son Edward L. Perrin Jr. of Sea Girt, his daughter Marianne Weir and her husband Chris of Oceanport, his sister Virginia Favorito and husband Barney of Oradell and his 2 grandsons Stephen and Joseph Weir.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the O'Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall followed by a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at 9:30am at St. Denis RC Church, 90 Union Ave, Manasquan. Entombment will be in St. Catharine's Cemetery, Sea Girt. In lieu of flowers the family requests donation to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Central Jersey Chapter, 740 Broad St., Shrewsbury, NJ 07702. The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed.
