EDWARD LORENSON
AGE: 51 LEONARDO
Edward Lorenson, 51, of Leonardo, Middletown, died Monday, Oct. 26, 2009, at St. Peters University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was a machinist working for Fraser Metal Products, Keyport, and Propane Equipment Co., Shrewsbury, retiring in 1996. He was a member of United Methodist Church, Belford; the Leonardo First Aid & Rescue Squad, Leonardo, Middletown; Middletown Township Fire Dept., Brevent Park and Leonardo Fire Co., Station #2. Born in New Brunswick, he was a lifelong resident of Middletown residing in both Belford and Leonardo.
He was predeceased by his adoptive parents who raised him, William and Jennie Mae Lorenson. Surviving are a son, Scott Lorenson of Leonardo; two brothers, Thomas Martin of Middlesex, and Michael Lorenson of Belford; and his former wife, Patricia Lorenson of Leonardo.
Relatives and friends are invited to call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29 at Posten's Funeral Home, 59 E. Lincoln Ave. at Central Avenue, Atlantic Highlands. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30 from the funeral home, with the Rev. Martin McGrail officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of N.J., 246 Monmouth Road, Ocean Township, NJ 07712. All further services are private and at the convenience of the family.
