JOHN S. BARTLO
AGE: 84 BRIDGEWATER
John S. Bartlo, 84 , died July 13, 2010. John was born in Passaic, NJ and formerly of West Caldwell before moving to Bridgewater in 1996. He was co-owner with his brother Thomas at Bartlo Packaging Company in Passaic for over 40 years, retiring in 1994. He graduated from the University of New Mexico with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was a veteran of the US Army Air Corps during WWII. John was an avid sportsman and especially enjoyed golfing. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Surviving are his wife Helen, sons Steven and his wife Karin, Allen and his wife Meg; a brother Thomas Bartlo and four grandchildren, Christopher, Annie, Allana and Grace and a host of nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grandnephews.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Bruce C. Van Arsdale Funeral Home, 111 N. Gaston Ave. Somerville, 908-725-3111. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Cancer Institute of New Jersey Foundation, 120 Albany St. 5th Floor, New Brunswick, NJ 08901.To send condolences to the family, visit www.brucecvanarsdalefuneralhome.com.
