Dear Gordon Family,
I was a teammate of Warren's at Manhattan College. He was a good friend to all of us. He was always fun to be around. I remember getting letters from Kuala Lumpur while he was in the Peace Corp. I remember going with him to the Osprey in Manasquan when he returned. He had a great zest for life and I wanted to offer my condolences. God bless Warren and the entire Gordon Family.

Dear Agnes,Jamie,Brandon,Emmalee,Aunt Janet,Uncle Warren & all of my cousins,
I cannot begin to tell you the sadness in my heart when I think of my cousin Warren's passing. It is so inconceivable & senseless to me. Warren was such a sweet, kind & compassionate person. His love of family was evident every time I saw him. I'm so grateful that I got to see him in September. I will cherish the time we were able to spend together and I will always remember how much fun he was to be with & his wonderful smile!
Warren will truly be missed by all who knew him, especially me.
We are so very sorry for your loss & will continue to keep all of you in our thoughts & prayers.
With our deepest sympathy,
Ellenye, Andy & Jeff Rickert

Agnes:
I was away on business when I heard the news from Ben. I have some very warm and funny memories of Warren. Above all was the fact that the Gordons were a close strong family that loved each other. We love you and share your sorrow.

Agnes and the Gordon Family.
I am sorry for your loss, Warren was one of the good guys, a teammate to most of us, but someone you admired for his love of life and love of his family. You can say he did it his way, when most people would have taken the easy road, Warren was blazing the trail. It did it with confidence, we respected that most about Warren. Thanks for all the good times!
Rest in Peace,
Peter Gaughn

Dear Agnes,
Warren was a teammate of mine at Manhattan and a really great guy. I remember exchanging some correspondence when he was in Kuala Lampur with the Peace Corps. We lost touch, but I remember him fondly. He was loved. He will be missed. You have my deepest condolences.

The last time I saw Warren he was on TV being interviewed on a news show after a race in Van Cortlandt Park when he ran for Manhattan. He was as self-effacing as I remembered him from our school's track and cross country races against Raritan; when I felt lucky enough to be close enough to see his back as he crossed the finish line well ahead of me.
He was magnanimous in his victories, and the few times I saw him in town outside of our schools' competitions he was friendly in his recognition of me. I did not know him well, but he was a person worth admiration. The reasons for that apparantly continued; I knew he went to Manhattan, which was a testiment to his intelligence. I did not know he had served in the Peace Corps, but that is certainly an indication of the continued quality of his character. As the head of the bond department he was successful in his profession.
His greatest attribute is obviously his family, but having our roots in Hazlet with Warren's passing many of us share in your loss.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any man's death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
p.s., I've had my colonoscopy. :-) And have a repeat scheduled in four more years.
