Richard G. Sendzik, 64, of Brick, passed away on Monday, Sept. 1, 2014, at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. Richard was born on July 14, 1950 to John and Jane Sendzik in Pt. Pleasant, living most of his life in Brick. Richard was a 1969 graduate of Brick High School. He then went on to work for the Brick Twp. Board of Education as a supervisor for the school bus system. Richard was a volunteer fireman and life member of the Herbertsville Fire Company Station 24 in Brick. In his leisure time, Richard enjoyed racing cars at Wall Stadium, New Egypt Speedway and Atlantic City.

Richard is survived by his brother, Jon Sendzik of Brick; his niece, Adrienne McDonald and his step children, Robert and Laurie and her children. Richard is also survived by many cousins and friends.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 2 to 4 p.m. & 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4 at Colonial Funeral Home, 2170 Highway 88, Brick. The religious funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 5 at the funeral home, followed by the burial at the Laurelton First Baptist Cemetery in Brick. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard's memory to the Herbertsville Fire Company, Station 24 at 601 Herbertsville Road Brick, NJ 08724.
