Ruth M. Kettyle passed away on Monday, March 3, 2014 at Chippenham Medical Center in Richmond, VA. She was 84 years old. Born in Carteret, she resided in Edison, NJ before moving to Colonial Heights, VA in 1993. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Colonial Heights, VA and the Colonial Heights American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit #284.

Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Henry Edward Kettyle; and her parents, Anton and Rose Roszits Bubenheimer. Surviving are five sons, Robert Kettyle of San Antonio, Texas, Richard Kettyle and his wife, Kathy, of Colonial Heights, VA., Raymond Kettyle and his wife, Lisa, of Middletown, NJ., Ronald Kettyle of Williamstown, NY., and Russell Kettyle of Petersburg, VA; seven grandchildren, Rachel Kettyle Wankel, Michael Kettyle, Jaclyn Kettyle Moragas and Marissa, Kaitlyn, Brett, and Krista Kettyle; six great-grandchildren, Amber Viventi, Thomas, Christopher and Meghan Wankel and Wyatt and Madalyn Kettyle; a sister, Karen Valiant, of Middletown, NJ; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be on Friday, March 14, 2014 at 10:30 am at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (www.costello-greiner.com), 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. Interment will follow in Clover Leaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the funeral home.
