Robert Henne Obituary
AGE: 23 • Fair Haven
Robert J. Henne, 23, of Fair Haven passed away Monday, March 23rd, 2015. He was civically minded from a very early age and was always helping others. Robert was a member of the Monmouth County 200 Club recognized for saving a man's life at a young age and played Football and ran Track at R.F.H. H.S. At the age of 15 he knew he wanted to be a Police Officer eventually earning a degree in Criminal Justice and Government Administration. Joining the Police Explorers, he then worked up the ranks to a Class II Police Officer at Fair Haven P.D., becoming a 3rd generation Policeman. Additionally, he earned the classification as a Class II Firefighter at Fair Haven.
He is survived by his beloved parents Robert A. and Audrey (nee: Murphy) and his loving sister Elizabeth J. Henne all of Fair Haven. Also surviving are many Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A visitation will be held Friday, March 27th from 4 - 8 PM at the Church of the Nativity, 180 Ridge Road, Fair Haven, NJ 07704. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, 10 AM at Church of the Nativity. In lieu of flowers donations in Robert's name to the Fair Haven Fire Department 645 River Rd. Dear beloved Henne family, I am awash in grief. There are no words for the loss of Bob jr. You gave a strong, brave, smart and handsome man to the world. I believe in Heaven. I believe that today this young man's soul is dancing in the golden streets of the new Jerusalem that the apostle John was shown by the Angels. Today, Bob jr sees and touches the face of God. Robert, I am not sure why this happened but I hope that you flew on eagles wings and watch over Elizabeth who loves you so. My faith is so tested. So tested.
