Patrick Martin Obituary
AGE: 96 • Lincroft
Brother Patrick Martin, F.S.C., 96, of Lincroft died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, at De La Salle Hall, Lincroft. Brother Patrick was born in New York City and received the Holy Habit of the Christian Brothers on September 7, 1933. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree and Master of Arts Degree from Manhattan College, New York City.
Brother Patrick's assignments included St. Gabriel's School, St. Raymond's School and Good Shepherd School, all of New York City, Lincoln Hall, Lincolndale, N.Y. where he served as Prefect and Assistant Principal, La Salle Academy, Providence, R.I., La Salle Military Academy, Oakdale, N.Y., Christian Brothers Academy, Albany, N.Y., Cardinal Spellman High School, New York City, De La Salle Collegiate, Detroit, Michigan, Christian Brothers Academy, Lincroft, Queen of Peace High School, North Arlington, Paramus Catholic High School, Paramus, and St. Peter's High School, Staten Island, N.Y. He had been in residence at De La Salle since 2003.
Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013 at De La Salle Hall, 810 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 3:30 p.m.Wednesday. Interment will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 10 at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, New York. Memorial donations to De La Salle Nursing Development, 810 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft, NJ 07738 would be appreciated. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, is in charge of arrangements.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any man's death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
