William Walker Obituary
AGE: 71 • Freehold Township
William J. Walker, 71, of Freehold Township, died Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Newark. Mr. Walker was born in The Bronx, N.Y. and had resided in Freehold for the past 38 years. He was a graduate of Manhattan College and earned a Master of Science Degree from Fordham University. Mr. Walker was a biomedical instrumentation sales representative for Tracor Northern, Madison Wisconsin before his retirement. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, Freehold.
Surviving are his wife, Ann Marie Byrne Walker; a son and daughter-in-law, Denis C. and Courtney E. Walker; a grandson, Patrick William Walker; a daughter, Jennifer A. Walker; a brother and sister-in-law, James N. and Joan Walker; a brother-in-law and his wife, Dennis J. and Patricia Byrne; and six nieces and nephews.
The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Patrick J. Milde Memorial Scholarship Fund, Roxbury High School, C/O Mrs. Pat Rogers, Guidance Department, 1 Bryant Drive, Succasunna, NJ 07876 would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any man's death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
