Giacomo (John) Chimienti

AGE: 82 • Old Bridge

Giacomo (John) Chimienti died Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at St. Peter's University Hospital. He was 82. Born in Manhattan, NY, he lived in the Bronx before moving to Old Bridge almost 50 years ago. Prior to his retirement, he was a corporate officer for Manufacturers Hanover Trust in New York City for over 30 years. He delivered Meals on Wheels in East Brunswick, and was a member of the Old Bridge Seniors. He also belonged to the Woodbridge Health Club and the New Brunswick YMCA. He was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church, Old Bridge.

He was predeceased by a brother, Frank. Surviving are his wife, Rosemarie Connolly Chimienti; a son, Joseph and his wife Judy of Columbus; two daughters, Terri and her husband Anthony D'Elia of Matawan, and Patricia and her husband Sean Gibney of Schooley's Mountain; a brother, Anthony of Metuchen; and five grandchildren, Clarissa, Meg, Thomas, Owen and Grace.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 9:00 AM in the Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, followed by a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
