Robert Caruso

AGE: 85 • North Brunswick

Bob Caruso of North Brunswick died on Thursday, March 14th at St. Peter's University Medical Center. He was 85 years old. Born in New Brunswick, he resided in North Brunswick for the past 53 years.

Bob loved all of his family dearly and touched the lives of many others. He was an avid bowler and fisherman who loved the beauty of Round Valley Reservoir in Lebanon and the Ocean. Robert was a veteran who served in Korea in the United States Army and throughout the world in the Merchant Marines in WW II. He started, owned & operated an Electrical Contracting business in the late 50's, until retiring in 2000.

Bob was predeceased by his parents, Sabatino and Josephine, his wife Jeanne and by his siblings Carmen, Lou, Vincent, Mary and Antoinette. He was also predeceased by two grandchildren, Donnie Caruso and Rob Huguenin. He is survived by two siblings, Bill Caruso and Connie Zangara and also his children: Don Caruso and Beverly Polcou of North Brunswick, Douglas and Dorothy Caruso of North Brunswick, Debra and Bob Huguenin of Monroe Township and Rob and Marybeth Caruso of Manalapan. Also surviving are Bob's grandchildren: Beth Caruso and Jason Briggs, Jennifer and Lucas Doney, Kim and Ron Broking, Dan Huguenin and Debra Lindower, Brian Caruso and Brieann Belluscio, Melissa Caruso, Anthony Caruso, Michael Caruso, Ryan Caruso and Amanda Caruso. He also leaves behind eight great-grandchildren Zachary, Grace, Madison, Robert, Ryder, Colin, Bo, Ryan and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place at the Boylan Funeral Home, 188 Easton Avenue in New Brunswick on Tuesday, March19, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at St. Peter's Cemetery in New Brunswick. Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday, March19, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m.
