ROSEMARIE T. BURGESS
AGE: 73 HILLSBOROUGH
Rosemarie T. Burgess, 73, passed away peacefully on Thursday Sept. 2, 2010 at Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was born Rosemarie Duff and raised in Elizabeth, NJ. She lived in Piscataway with her husband and children prior to settling in Hillsborough in 1976. Rosemarie was a registered nurse who provided compassionate care for patients at JFK Medical Center for many years. She was a member of Mary Mother of God Church. In her free time she enjoyed gardening, reading, sports, the beach and spending time with family and especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her beloved husband of fifty years, George W. Burgess. She is the cherished mother of sons, Kenneth and his wife Anne of Syracuse, NY, Robert and his wife Lisa of Hillsborough; her daughters, Beth of Hillsborough and Barbara and her husband Walter Szewczyk of Newark, DE. She is also survived by her brother, Howard Duff of Basking Ridge; her sister, Catherine Banks of Morristown and her five grandchildren, Alex, Jessica, Jake, Marc and Kyle.
A Celebration of Her Life service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010 at 10am in St. Joseph's Church, 34 Yorktown Rd., Hillsborough. Family and friends will be received from 9:30am-10am in the church. Arrangements by Hillsborough Funeral Home, Hillsborough NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rosemarie's name may be made to the Maryanne Hale Haven Hospice Pavilion c/o JFK Medical Center Foundation, 80 James St., Edison, NJ 08818.
