JOSEPH "CHUBBY" B. TOMAINO
AGE: 87 OAKHURST
Joseph "Chubby" B. Tomaino, 87, of Oakhurst, passed away Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010. Born in Red Bank, Chubby had lived in Oakhurst for the past 43 years. During World War II, Chubby served with the 373rd Field Artillery Battalion, 100th Division during the European Theatre. He retired in 1987 after a 35 year career with the former company of Bendix/Honeywell Corporation in Eatontown. Chubby was a member of the American Legion.
Chubby was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Gladys, in July 2009. He is survived by his children, daughter, Ellen Weddendorf and a son, Joseph and his wife, Susan; his siblings, Angelina Fedor, Rosemarie Lister, Robert Tomaino, Patty Serafino, and Richard Tomaino; three grandchildren, Laura Williams and husband Eric, Elisabeth Ogrin and husband Todd, and William Weddondorf and wife Elizabeth; and five great-grandchildren, Bryce and Tanner Williams, Juliette Orgrin, Catherine and Chase Weddendorf.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9 until the service begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St., Red Bank. Interment will be private.

To the Tomaino family:
It's been a privilege and a pleasure to have your Dad as a neighbor these last 15 years. His interest and encouragement has been a comfort to me through some difficult times as a single father. He is in my thoughts and prayers, and he is missed.
