AGE: 77 • Beachwood
Robert RC Lang 77 of Beachwood went home to the Lord surrounded by the many loves of his life, August 7, 2013. Bob was employed by Ciba Geigy. Born in Jersey City, Bob lived in Jackson before moving to Beachwood 44 years ago. He served his country honorably in the US Navy. He was a deacon at the Presbyterian Church of Toms River and he served as a scout master for troop 14 in Beachwood. He also enjoyed volunteering his time for many different charities. Bob found his greatest joy spending time with family. He was a loving husband, a proud father and an even prouder grandfather. He will always be remembered for his smile, his wise cracks and his beer. He is predeceased by his parents, George & Helen Lang, sister, Mary Bennett, and brother, George Lang Jr. He is survived by the love of his life, his bride of 53 years, Ethel Lang, his five children and their spouses, Thomas & Charlene of Browns Mills, Bonnie Jean & James Baine of Lacey Twp, Nancy Allyn & Andrew Vanderham of Manchester, Duke & Rachel of Somerset, WI and Timothy & Jessica of South Toms River, his sister-in-law, Georgie Eckart & husband Joe of Bradley Beach, 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandson and his walking buddy, Corky. My condolences to the Lang family. I will miss Mr Lang's laugh and his gruff way of speaking and his jokes. I always knew the gruffness was only on the exterior because when we chatted here on Tiller Ave, he always spoke with kindness and joy of you his family and the little rascal Corky. Each August as the last
of the warm days of summer
unfold, I'll think of him fondly as the Rose of Sharon plants he gave to us, the Brown family, continue to bloom and grow. "Give it time", he said and that we did. Now we have this beautiful daily reminder that hope springs eternal. Thanks Mr Lang! Rest in Peace
