AGE: 90 • Neptune
Charles Wallace "Wally" Patterson, 90, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016 at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune, NJ. Wally was born in Spring Lake and lived in Brielle before marrying and moving to Manasquan in 1947. Wally was a World War II veteran serving in the United States Army. He was Manager of the Parts Department at Point Pleasant Ford for 40 years before retiring in 1988. He was a Boy Scout Leader and Explorer Leader for 25 years and very active in the Manasquan community.
Wally was predeceased by his wife Marilyn in 2015 and his son Kevin. He is survived by his son, Tom Patterson and Janet Cox of Brevard, NC; his daughter, Karen Shibla and her husband Gary of Wall, NJ; and 3 grandchildren, Brent, Brittany and Kirstyn Shibla.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016 from 3-5pm at Neary-Quinn Funeral Home, 39 South Street, Manasquan, NJ. Funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 5pm at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
