Charles Thompson Obituary

Went to be with grandma Oct. 17th, 2010. Born in Utah May 10th 1924. His father was the sheriff in Blackfoot, ID and when they went to town, they rode horseback. Charles witnessed the indians in teepee's as a young man and delivered newspapers during the Great Depression. He worked his whole life to take care of his family; building dams and working in the saw mills across Northern California. He and the rest from this great generation built this country - then defended it for all of us today, serving his country during WWII from 1942 -1945. A quote from his son David, "I wish you all could of known him personally, but maybe you did. He was your grandpa, your great grandpa and your dad. He was my dad, I loved him, admired him and will miss him till one day I meet him again. Thank you Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen. P.S. Henry bendin, pudding and pie... kissed the girls and made them cry. Goodnight dad, see you in the morning - we'll have some coffee." A graveside service will be Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at 11:00 am at Sierra View Memorial Park. Sierra View Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Visit us online at SierraViewFH.com.
