I continue to struggle with the reality that you are gone, Nana. You are on my mind & in my heart as always. I already miss your laugh & sense of humor. Don't worry about Grandpa, we're keeping an eye on him for you. I know you're dancing with Aunt Karen now and floating on the breeze with the butterflies. Until we meet again- We love you forever! -Kendra, Chris & Lizzie Schmidl

Dear Cheney Family,
I was heart broken this morning when Ted called to tell me Harriet was gone. Such a kind and giving person. When I picture Harriet in my mind I see her with a big smile. I can remember sitting in the shade of the front lawn in the summer afternoons. Harriet would welcome us all and Karen was making those beaded rings that are back in style now. I will keep your family in my prayers.

Milton and Family,
Harriet was such a nice, sweet lady who could always bring a smile to your face when talking to her. She was so funny and always made you laugh. I am so fortunate to have known Harriet and her family and she made such a difference to my life. You will be missed but we will all see each other again someday.

Milton and Family,
Peggy and I are so sorry to hear about Harriet's passing. I remember all the great times we had at your house both inside and out in the front yard playing games and telling stories. You have a wonderful family and I will always cherish all the time that I was a part of that.

I've known Harriet since I first moved to Live Oak back in '84 and enjoyed talking with her so much that I was ecstatic when my daughter married her grandson! She always had a kind word, a funny story and a bit of Live Oak history to share. Harriet is one of those people that you just always look forward to seeing again! What a great gal. I will miss her dearly. Mona Langer

Just wanted to say what a special person Harriett was. I became acquainted with her through the Delta Kappa Iota sorority in Live Oak. At one of the meetings, don't know why, but I mistakenly called her Hazel. She just laughed and laughed over that. From then on when she would call me on the phone she referred to herself as "Hazel". She had a wonderful sense of humor, always had a funny joke to tell and no matter what her health problems always tried to see things on the bright side. All of us in Delta Kappa and the community of Live Oak will miss her. Our thoughts go out to her family. Nanci Davison & Family

To The Dear Family of Harriett,
We were extremely saddened to learn of Harriett's passing. She was a wonderful woman and a treasured member of Live Oak's history. We have many fond memories of evenings on the Cheney front lawn and visiting during community events. We were blessed to grow up in a kinder time, a small town and to have Harriett in our lives. With sympathy....Vernna Hall Werner and Vivian Hall
