Jack Schantz Obituary

Jack Edward Schantz 68, of Arbuckle, CA, a life long resident of Colusa County passed away on Oct. 31, 2010 at home after his long battle with cancer. Graveside services to be held at Arbuckle Cemetery, Sat. Nov. 6, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Potluck Reception to follow at Arbuckle Fire House. He was born April 13, 1942 in Colusa, CA. A truck driver for over 50 years he loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed being a mechanic, gardening, dancing, & participating in the demolition derby. He is survived by his wife, Fotoula Schantz of Arbuckle, his children: Sons - Steven D. Schantz of Arbuckle, Scott D. Schantz of Arbuckle, Sherman D. Schantz of Arbuckle, Daughters - Stacey D. Wren (Schantz) of Silver Springs, NV, Shelley D. Crane (Schantz) of Cove, AR. His stepchildren: Daughter - Martha Robison-Tingler of Arbuckle, sons - James M. Caddick of Sacramento, CA, Michael A. Caddick of Arbuckle. His sisters - Kay Peck of Arbuckle, Linda Hill of Modesto, CA. His brothers - Donald Schantz of Susanville, CA, Roger Schantz of Arbuckle, Keith Schantz of Grimes, CA, David Schantz of Arbuckle, Jerry Schantz of Colusa, 17 grandchildren & many other family & friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Jacob Schantz, his mother, Esther Schantz, and two sisters, Patricia Hancock, and Joyce Salyer.
