Janice Durnell Obituary

On Christmas Eve Heaven welcomed another Angel, Janice Durnell (Fairless). She leaves behind 4 daughters, Carol Durnell (Olivehurst), Betty Ordon (Elk Grove), Linda Larcom (Wheatland), Nancy Otero (Olivehurst), 3 son-in-laws, Stanislaw Ordon, James Larcom, Mark Otero, 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, sister Earlene McSwan, brother Marshall Fairless and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Clyde Durnell, brother Bill Fairless, a grandchild Rosie Sivil and her parents Julia and Lee Fairless. Janice had a passion for family, friends, animals, gardening, games, collecting frogs and cooking. Little things could put a huge smile on her face and a twinkle in her beautiful blue eyes. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations to the Alzheimer's' Organization. Send Condolences www.appealdemocrat.com

I hope you know how much I loved you. You were a great mother and grandmother. You were only 15 when you married dad- 16 when you became a mother. I could barely take care of myself at that age! I know times were not always great but you made the best of them. You and dad taught us how important family is and to always lean on one another.I can honestly say I wouldn't have wanted to change anything about my childhood- you and dad made it the best! I believe you are watching over us and even though you are in Heaven I know that you can still raise a little Hell! I love you with all my heart!
