Laura Nicastro Obituary

June 24, 1927 - October 31, 2010 Born in Susanville, CA to Sam & Liz Laurella, she died at home of cancer at the age of 83. Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years, Nick Nicastro, her son and his wife, Rick & Sandi Nicastro, daughter, Cyndi and her husband Tony Jayne and granddaughters Elizabeth Lystrup and Marisa Jayne. Laura was a retired bookkeeper and stay at home mom. She was active in the local community as a volunteer at Fremont Hospital and also belonged to Amichi Italiano. A member of Plumas Lake Golf Club for 36 years, she enjoyed golfing with all her lady friends. There will be a Celebration of Laura's Life held on Sat. 11/6 from 11am - 6pm at 1481 Peach Tree Ln. Yuba City. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society or Sutter North Hospice at 400 Plumas Blvd., Suite #115, Yuba City, CA 95991.
