Louise Miller Obituary

Louise Miller 96, of Yuba City, passed away on November 3, 2010. She was born on July 26, 1914 in Allerton, Iowa and was a homemaker and a Yuba-Sutter area resident for 66 years. Louise was a graduate of Allerton High School in Allerton, IA and a graduate of Simpson College, Indianola, IA with a BA in Music. Survivors include her daughter, Paula E. Raub, her grandsons, Charles P. Raub and Joshua D. Raub, her granddaughter-in-law, Cathleen Raub and her great-grandson Benjamin I. Raub. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin F. Miller, M.D., son-in- law, Gordon A. Raub, father James O. Ritchie, mother, Elizabeth A. Ritchie and her brother Jim Ritchie. Louise was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority, charter member of Chapter LS PEO, charter member of the Women's Medical Auxiliary, member of the Literary Guild, charter member of the Pink Ladies, Republican Women, charter member of Peach Tree Gold & Country Club, and did volunteer work with the local schools. During World War II, she was accepted by the American Red Cross as a recreational worker. Graveside services will be conducted at 11am on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at Sutter Cemetery, with Pastor Chris Kersting officiating. Dear Paula,
I am so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. Like my mom, Christina, who left us a year ago, she had a long and full life. That said, it is really hard not to have your mom any longer.
I have very fond memories of both of your parents, as they were dear friends of my parents for many years. Your mom, in particular, was always so friendly and always seemed so glad to see me. I can still see her smile.
Although this is a sad time for you and your family, I pray that as time goes by your wonderful memories of your mother will overshadow the sadness
