Melba Hudson Obituary

Melba Sue Hudson 85, of Yuba City passed away October 1, 2010 at the Fountains in Yuba City. She was born November 17, 1924 in Carlinville, Illinois. Melba was a longtime Yuba-Sutter resident. She worked for Hal's Grubsteak for over 15 years. Melba was a member of the Yuba City Moose Lodge, enjoyed playing the piano, reading, was an avid football & baseball fan & enjoyed attending the Jazz Festival in old Sacramento. Survivors include her daughter Sandra Munds of Yuba City, son, Gerald Allen of Sugarland, TX, sister Pauline Schnell of St. Louis, MO, 3 grandchildren & 3 great-grandchildren. Melba is preceded in death by her husband Herschel Hudson, son Douglas Hudson & grandson Ricky Munds. Graveside services will be Monday October 11, 2010 at 1:00 pm at Sutter Cemetery in Sutter. Pastor David Turner of the Cooper Ave. Baptist Church will be officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ullrey Memorial Chapel. Send Condolences to www.appealdemocrat.com

Hudson Family. I was so sorry to hear about Melba, my heart goes out to you and yours. I cared for her several years ago, she was a sweet lady and always so nice. I know the loss you must feel right now for she was a special lady.

Dear Jack,Sandy and Family, We are so sorry for your lose. I know you all will miss her. I will always remember coming to your house when I was younger and going to visit Melba.
