Una Vise Obituary

October 24, 1918 - February 22, 2011. Born Una Edna Jackson to Hugh Jackson & Cordia Christian in Arkansas, passed away at age 92 at the Yuba Skilled Nursing Home. Una graduated from Westwood High School in Westwood, CA, and later married Harry H. Vise on Feb. 20, 1942. She was a legal secretary for Rich, Fuidge and Dawson, retiring in 1980. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 55 Marysville and of the United Methodist Church where her husband was a minister from 1967-1979. During that time they made a trip to the Middle East, and after retirement enjoyed many trips in their motorhome. She also had a love for gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by one son, Ronald Vise (Kay) of Meridian; two grandsons: David Vise (Jennifer) of Red Bluff, and Michael Vise of Sacramento; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at Ullrey Memorial Chapel Yuba City, from 9:00 to 11:00AM Monday, February 28, 2011, followed by graveside services at Sutter Cemetery at 1:00PM with Pastors Art & Carolee Catterall officiating. Arrangements under the direction of Ullrey Memorial Chapel. Memorial contributions can be made to Marysville First United Methodist Church Fund, 8th and D Street, Marysville, CA 95901.
