Kevin D. Crager 49 of Sioux Falls died Thursday, March 7, 2013 at his home. He was born February 9, 1964 in Huntington, West Virginia the son of Charles and Barbara Crager. As a young boy his mother died and he was adopted by his aunt and uncle, Bob and Brenda Wiseman. He grew up in West Virginia and graduated from Fairland High School in 1982 in Proctorville, Ohio. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he served for 20 years; the majority of his time was served at Ellsworth Air Force Base, Rapid City, SD. After retiring he moved to Sioux Falls where he met and married Karen Connors in 2013. He worked at the Dept. of Veterans Affairs in Sioux Falls as the Safety and Occupational Health Specialist until his illness forced him to retire.
Grateful for having shared his life are: his wife, Karen; his children, James (Brittany) and their children, Kason and Camryn, Torey (Sarah) and their son Kael, and Kylie; his adoptive parents Bob and Brenda Wiseman; his twin sister, Kim Crager, brothers, Terry (Valerie), Bryan (Tanya), and Darin and his sister Jennifer (Eugene) Trickett and his closest friends, the Jeff Storment family.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to a trust fund that has been set up at www.kevincrager.org.
Funeral services will begin at1:00 pm Sunday at Heritage Funeral Home in Sioux Falls with burial at a later date in Black Hills National Cemetery, Sturgis, SD. Visitation will be on Saturday from 1 to 5 pm at the funeral home with the family present from 2 to 4 pm. www.heritagesfsd.com
