Herman Kraun Obituary


Family-Placed Death Notice

Mr. Herman Kraun, whose family called him the Master of Tall Tales, loved to tell stories. On September 2, 2006, Herman Kraun, 84, of Roswell, completed his final chapter of life. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Helen Kraun. He also leaves his stories with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren: Dana Kumin of Roswell and grandchildren Lisa Kumin of Los Angeles and Jami (Ed) Hines of Cumming and great granddaughter Morgan; Jill Margolick of Michigan and grandchildren Jeff (Caroline) Margolick of London and Andrew (Katie) Margolick of Michigan and great grandchildren Jake, Lauren and A.J.; Lorie (Tim) Brockdorf of Michigan and grandchildren Todd Brockdorf of Michigan and Danny Brockdorf of Missouri; Robert (Audrey) Kraun of Roswell and grandchildren Michael and David Kraun of Roswell; and Scott (Sharon) Kraun of Sandy Springs and grandchildren Lindsay and Amanda Kraun of Sandy Springs. Born in New York City and raised in Trenton, New Jersey, Herman had a long career in the laundry and dry cleaning industry, finally being convinced to retire in 2005. He was a World War II veteran who served in the Army Air Corps. Graveside services for Herman will be Monday, September 4 at 9:30 a.m. at Arlington Memorial Park, Mount Vernon Road in Sandy Springs. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements by Green Lawn Jewish Funeral Services at H.M.
