ADGER, Thomas THOMAS JOSEPH ADGER Homegoing Services for Dea. Thomas Joseph Adger will be held Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at Liberty Baptist Church - Atlanta, 395 Chamberlain Street SE Atlanta at 11 AM, Rev. Dr. J. Sherman Pelt, Pastor, Officiating. Interment, Westview Cemetery, Treasuring the life he lead and the memories they shared are wife of almost 55 years, Betty Jean Adger; sons, Rickey (Anita) Adger and Rodney (Pamela) Adger; four grandchildren, Sydney, Kelly, Richard and Rachel Adger; two brothers, James (Donetta) Jackson and Alloyd Moore; two sisters, Dora Woodson and Margaret Odum; sister in law, Frances W. Batten; brother in law, Robert (Johnnie) Winfrey; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Family and friends will assemble at the church at 1030 AM. Dear Family,
Thomas Adger was one of a kind. His gentleness and strength enabled him to be the type of person one could call and speak with concerning problems, issues etc relating to teaching.
He made a difference in my professional life over the years. Several times, I found myself calling to discuss things with him and no matter what the situation, he helped if by nothing else than listening.
I can tell you this, APS could use a great many Thomas Adgers.
