Family-Placed Death Notice
TOMPKINS, Deborah Jean Celebration of Life for Ms. Deborah Jean Tompkins will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2013, 10 a.m. at Providence Baptist Church, 1773 Hawthorne Ave. College Park, GA with remains to be placed in state at 9 a.m. Rev. Charles E. Nesbitt, Jr. Pastor, Rev. McKenzie Jones of Zoe Baptist Church, Eulogist. Interment South-View Cemetery. She leaves to cherish her memory four sisters: Priscilla Jones (Frank, Jr.); Gail Pryor (Samuel); Hilda and Tonia Tompkins. Four brothers: Tyrone, Abner, Jr., Alonzo, Sr. and Reginald Tompkins and a host of other loyal nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Open visitation will be TODAY from 12 noon until 5 p.m. at the mortuary. Wake Service will be from 7-8 p.m. at Zoe Baptist Church 1793 Cedar Grove Road Conley, GA. I express my heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Deborah Thompson. Although I didn't know her very intimately, I knew her well enough to witness her high moral character, kindness, friendliness, and helpfulness for a number of years. She was always so especially nice and friendly toward me. I pray that all loved ones find comfort in the arms of Jesus and in the Word of God.

I know it seems very hard for you all right now, but as we all know GOD is still in charge. HE still sits on the throne. The angels are always near to those who are grieving, to whisper to them that their love one is safe in the hand of God. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. Ms. Debbie leaves so many great memories and she will be missed by many.
