Family-Placed Death Notice

BRANNING, Thomas THOMAS J. BRANNING Mr. Thomas J. Branning, age 78, of Ila, GA died Sunday December 13, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Branning was born in Duval County, FL, to the late, Lewis James and Emeline McIver Branning. Mr. Branning was a retired salesman. After retirement he began working at Athens Country Club. Mr. Branning was in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Branning was preceded in death by his wife; Frances O'Neal Hardman Branning. Mr. Branning is survived by his daughter; Terri Branning of Alpharetta, GA, daughters and sons-in-law; Beth and J.P. Gardner of Alpharetta, GA, and Lisa and Eric Bishop of Alpharetta, GA, son and daughter-in-law Greg and Robyn Branning of Houston, TX, nine grandchildren; Ashley, Courtney, Mitchell, Mason, Riley, and McIntyre Branning, Anna and Avery Bishop, and Grace Gardner. Funeral service will be Saturday 2:00 PM from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Monty Nelson officiating with the interment following at Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 12- 2:00 PM. Little-Ward Funeral Home Commerce, GA is in charge of arrangements.
