HALFORD, Richard J. RICHARD J. HALFORD Celebration of Life and Legacy for Senior Officer Richard J. Halford, Pilot for Atlanta Police Department will be held Friday, November 9, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Jackson Memorial Baptist Church, 534 Fairburn Rd., NW. The Rev. Dr. Gregory A. Sutton, Pastor. Pastor Christopher Wimberly, Eulogist. Family and friends will assemble at the church at 10:30 AM on the day of service. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. He leaves to share her precious memories, daughter Gabriel Halford; former wife, Vivian Halford; parents, Carl and Mattie Halford of Columbus, GA.; brother, Gerard Halford (Rebecca); sister, Michelle Hall (Malcolm); uncles, aunts,cousins, other loving relatives and friends. I was very sad to hear of the passing of Richard. I recently attended the Hardaway High School Class of 1982 Reunion and spoke to him. He told of his career as pilot with the Atlanta Police Department. I was proud of his success and it made me feel that teaching was a worthwhile career. Rest in peace, Richard.
