He was active in the churches he attended, including small group ministry, teaching Sunday school and working with singles and youth. During his more than thirty years in the surveying and engineering industry, he developed and maintained a reputation that is highly respected. Since stepping down from his role as CEO of Gaskins, Johnny continued to be a major contributor to the company and surveying industry. Mrs. Gaskins:
The CET Department faculty and staff at SPSU would like to express their deepest sympathy on the passing of Johnny. He was a great friend and benefactor of our department.
His guidance and generosity was very much appreciated. His establishment of the Surveying & Mapping Scholarship fund will certainly enhance the futures of students for generations to come.
May God bless you and guide you during this difficult period.
