HARPER, Alberta ALBERTA HARPER Celebration services for Mrs. Alberta Harper of Conyers, GA will be held Thursday, March 24, 2011, 11:00 a.m, at Miller's Chapel Baptist Church, 2285 Miller's Chapel Road, Conyers, GA 30094 with Pastor Daniel Smith, Officiating. Interment Green Meadows Memorial Gardens. Visitation at Gregory B. Levett Funeral Home, 4347 Flat Shoals Pkwy, Decatur, GA 30034, March 23, 4:00 until 7:00pm. Floral arrangements should be sent to Gregory B. Levett Funeral Home at address above. Remains will lie in repose from 9 a.m. until the hour of service. She leaves to cherish her memories two children: Katherine Forte, Stone Mountain, GA and Rev. Lanier (Valerie) Harper, Conyers, GA.; brothers: Willie George Forte, Decatur, GA and Niles Forte, Jr., Conyers, GA; sisters: Ruth (Nathaniel) Johnson, Jonesboro, GA and Gladys (Gerald) Wright, Stone Mountain, GA.; aunt, Lena Mae Byrd and sister-in-law, Genoulia Lee and a host of nieces/nephews and other relatives and friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble at 1852 Farmer Road, Conyers, GA at 10:00 a.m. Professional Services entrusted to Blankumsee, Thomas & Wright Funeral Services-Quitman, GA 229-263-5002

I have been blessed to have shared a beautiful life with my Aunt Bert whom I love very much. When I was a young child Aunt Bert told me to call her "Auntee." I enjoyed the wonderful phone conversations as well as the long visits that we had in her home or mine. Auntee was truly a woman of God because she had the spirit of peace, a humble heart and the wisdom of God. Everytime I spoke to her on the phone, if Auntee was sick she would not mention a word about it for she always was concerned for others. Actually my Auntee did a great job of spearding God's love all around. Auntee kept a smile on her face and would always speak about things and situations in a positive way. She taught me a lot by the way she lived her life.
To my dear cousins Katerine and Lanier, Aunt Bert has left a Great Legacy behind which we can hold in our hearts as "pressure memories." We will see her again on the other side of the Jordan. We need to keep on pressing on in the Mighty name of Jesus. She will be missed but truly not forgotten.
