Mike was a grade school/swimming/diving/high school friend, and neighbor in Toledo. Ray & I got to connect with him again at the Olympics in Atlanta. His warmth, humor, integrity and spirituality were always evident. Our sincere sympathy to his family. May you feel God's love and compassion as you mourn the loss of this ver special man.

Mike Harron was our neighbor for over 35 years. We liked him very much - everyone did. Years ago at a neighborhood picnic, someone mentioned in reference to Mike when his name came up - "what a great guy!" - a phrase that captures the feeling everyone still has about him today. He was also respected as a high quality individual who cared deeply about his family and faith. While he never talked about it, Mike was a genuine war hero - the real deal. I served on another aircraft carrier off Vietnam at the same time and can directly attest that 1968 was very active in the Vietnam War with many highly dangerous missions - often at night. We lost many pilots. His receipt of two Distinguished Flying Crosses from one cruise was very unusual and a definitive testimony to his extraordinary heroism. We will miss him greatly and send our deepest smpathy to the Harron family.
