The news of Dan's death is a shock, hard to imagine not seeing him again in Atlanta, Highlands or France. I will miss him and his true enthusiasm for art and friendship. My sympathy goes to those who were close to him. We will all miss Dan. Jill from FRANCE

The Mutombo's are deeply sorry for your loss. Dan was an important and special person to our family. In the last 15 years, my family has enjoyed working with Dan and sharing his talent. As a matter of fact, he knew our house better than ourselves. We will never be able to replace him! Whenever we needed something done or repair at our house, the person to call was Dan! and he always make it happened! What wonderful person! We admired his professionalism, kindness and sense of humor. On sept 1st, Dan and I had a phone conversation where I was asking him some guidance and sharing with him some of the changes the kids wanted to be done to their room. He told me that he will stop at the house when he gets back from Florida so that me can talk more about it. He was exciting and looking forward to the florida trip. He told me: " I will be relaxing at the beach". I said to him good for you. We all need that once in a while. Go have fun, but stay cool. He replied: " I will try". No idea this was going to be my last conversation with him! I will cherish this conversation for many years. Mutombo family will MISS him dearly `
