After retiring in Georgia in 1978, he worked a decade with schools in Alaska, where he cultivated close working relationships among Native American and Inuit communities, and served as superintendent of schools in Nome, AK. I wish to express my sincere condolences in the loss of your father. I was a student at Menlo High School when he was principal there and Ken you were a younger student there at the time. He was such a great encourager to all of us. I always remember him with great respect and feel he was a very positive influence in my life. I proud to know of all his accomplishments after his time at Menlo.
