My heart has skipped a beat just hearing about Bert. Shirley, BG, Elizabeth, Joy and all of you, love you so much, and gratefully remember so many wonderful days and weekends and everyting inbetween. I remember so well Bert's magnificient laugh and smile and always that twinkle in his eyes. Gracious and generous and caring, and such a good listener and always waiting for the punch line with a Santa hat by the big Christmas tree. Love you all! Farley

I was my great privilege to work closely with Bert daily in the FCCI office for seven years. I have known few other men of such substance and stature. I was with him in many situations, most very enjoyable but some not. His engaging smile, twinkling eye and wonderful laughter was unfailing. Genuine love, humility and a profound sense of humor always characterized this faithful man of God. I have missed seeing him, thinking of him and praying for him often these past 22 years and, like everyone who knew Bert well, I will always love him. I have no doubt he is enjoying a grand reception into The Father's house.

Bert showed us all how to lead a company for Christ, a lasting legacy with Kingdom results. I recall his love for Christ as a business guy struggling like all of us to run the race to the finish. A loss of a great Christian leader. Wolfgang & Nancy Kittner, Palatine, IL

My husband, Phil Sullivan, met Bert in 1946 in the PiKA house at Ga Tech where he had just entered the Navy V-5 program. He thought he was the most honorable man he'd ever met, and has often spoken of him with so much admiration. Phil is now suffering from A.D., but I know he would want me to offer his profound sympathy to Bert's family. May God bless you and comfort you. Jeanette Sullivan

"Mr. Stumberg showed us kids what it looked like to be a man of God. His humility was a characteristic that showed us what true strength looked like, strength that comes only from God. We feel so blessed to have been able to spend time with Mr. Stumberg and even more blessed that my children knew him as well."

On Monday morning he was greeted with the warmest heavenly embrace, and most assuredly heard these words,"Well done my good and faithful servant". What a great man! He has left us with a wonderful legacy of faith, hope, and love, much laughter, a marvelous family, and endless fond memories. May thanksgiving outweigh the tears.

Dearest Stumberg family, we would like to express our sympathies. Bert was such a wonderful man and he will be greatly missed. We know that he has graduated and sits in the hands of the Lord. God bless you all.

Where do you start sharing thoughts and memories about a servant, a warrior for the gospel like Bert Stumberg? I expect Barbara and I are two of hundreds, probably thousands considering FCCI, that Bert touched on behalf of our Lord. Yes, the one-on-one chats were instrumental in moving us from "lost" to "saved" but it was just as much the example Bert displayed in the way he lived his life. He challenged everyone he came in contact in love leaving the decision making up to the listener...and he always made it clear what the right decision would be. Missed but never forgotten...thank you God we knew this man and his family! See you later...go Tech.

Bert was certainly loved by all at FCCI, Fellowship of Companoes for Christ International. I truly enjoyed meeting Bert and sharing a laugh or two with him. He will be dearly missed.

Shirley and family, Bert made a tremendous impact on my life and my family's. Pam met the Lord at a sales meeting because Bert brought in John Rat Riley. Who does that? A man with an eternal view and one who knew where he was headed.
