Family-Placed Death Notice
PEACOCK, Bobbie, Sr. Mr. Bobbie Don Peacock, Sr., 77, of Peachtree City, GA passed away May 24, 2011.He was born in Soperton GA and the son of the late William Thomas & Sara Irene Tyson Peacock. Mr. Peacock served his country in the Air Force during the Korean conflict. He was the owner/operator of M.A. Industries in Peachtree City, GA and an inventor. Mr. Peacock was a member of the Tyrone Masonic Lodge #644 F & AM, a Shriner and a member of the Fayette Shrine Club. He was preceded in death by his daughter Deri Peacock Adams. Survivors include his loving wife Ollie Ree Peacock; Sharon (Richard) Shafer of Millbrook, AL, Bobbie Don Peacock, Jr. of Peachtree City, GA, Diane Lanell Peacock of Macon, GA and Dale Peacock (Kevin) Breen of San Francisco, CA; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; Bill (Barbara) Peacock of Peachtree City, GA, Cathy Peacock McInvale of Newnan, GA, Jackie Peacock (John) Arthur of Grantville, GA, Sarah Stargell of Senoia, GA, Curtis Edwards of Peachtree City, GA along with nieces & nephews. Funeral Services will be Friday, May 27, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Peachtree City First Baptist Church, with remains placed in state at 10:30 AM. Rev. Dan Moran will officiate. Burial will follow at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to Yaarab Shrine Temple, 400 East Ponce de Leon, NE, Atlanta, Ga. 30308. Carl J. Don, I just saw Bob's Obit. on the internet. I'm as hurt as if I had lost one of my own family members. I can't say enough good things about your Dad. I learned alot from him. At least I did have the chance to tell him. I'm not sure what year,but you were on your honeymoon. my friend I love you too. Bob, may you R.I.P.

Diane, no words can express how I feel for you on your loss. Knowing how special your Daddy was, jsut makes it harder to know he's gone. But take comfort in knowing that he is now on his next great adventure, and will always continue to watch over and protect you. He was and will always be a special man.
