As you drive, walk or as I ride my bicycle through the county, Bill and his fellow representatives work can be seen and heard all around you. With my days as a newspaper photographer, Bill was very cordial giving me access to capture him while the legislature was in session and when he was about in numerous county functions and events. I still don't smoke cigars though. Thank You Bill.

Liddy and I were sadden at the news of Bill's passing. He was a gentle giant that I had immense respect for. He was a guiding light in Clayton County and was a wonderful public servant. It is his mold that is so lacking today. Our sincere sympathy to Mary and family, and may they have joy in the fact that Bill touched so many lives in so many wonderful ways.

Mary, It seems like yesterday when Bill and Terrell and the other members of the Clayton County delegation served the citizens so well. Bill was such a great public servant, loved and admired by everyone. Now he and my husband, Wesley, and so many others are gone and we miss them all so much. My love to you and your family. My prayers go with you all. Linda Lord

Our sincere sympathy to Mary, Rex, Trixie and all the family. We loved Bill and admired him so much. Ron has such good memories of him and has expressed how honored he was that Bill asked him to run for his seat when he retired. No one could fill his shoes but he was so helpful to Ron when he served the State of Georgia. May God give all of you His peace and comfort during these difficult days. We will be praying for all of you.

Early in my career with Southern Railway Bill let me join his office. 5 years later that had me prepared to be promoted to management, at age 27. To this day I have been proud to say "I worked for Bill Lee once."

Goodbye and thank you, sir.

Early in my career with Souhern Railway, Bill let me join an office of about 20 people which he ran. 5 years later, that experience prepared me to be promoted to Management, at age 27. To the end of my career, I was always proud to say "I worked for Bill Lee once."

Sandra and I want to extend our condolences to Mary and the family. I was one of the many people who had an opportunity to work with Bill during his time at the Legislature. I will remember a lot of things regarding Bill, but most of all his wit and graciousness. God speed my friend.

Comfort from Act 24:15

October 31, 2014

Bill Lee was one of the most incredible men and friends that I ever had. I met Bill over 40 years ago when I was in my early 20's and he was already one of the most influential men in the State of Georgia. Bill Lee was a man who served in one party of the State Legislature but was friends on both sides of the isle. He once said "don't try to keep score-just continue to do the right thing and the score will even out" If Bill Lee's mentality could be adhered to in Washington the United States of America would be a better place. Bill Lee was always there for me and without his help I would be less of a contributor to society than I have tried to be. Thank God that Bill Lee has been a part of my life!!!!! I am a better person for knowing Bill Lee. Trixsey, Mary and Rex may God be with you during this difficult time. I can only say I loved Bill Lee and will never forget him for the rest of my life.
