Donald BAINBRIDGE Obituary

BAINBRIDGE, Donald L. Donald Lane Bainbridge, age 75, went home to be with the lord on Saturday, September 19, 2015. Don was born to Robert and Evelyn Bainbridge on February 22, 1940, in East Orange, New Jersey. Don's early accomplishments were many. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, Navy veteran, seminary graduate, airline pilot and business owner. However, Don's greatest passion in life was sharing the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. As the founder of Burning Bush ministries, Don worked tirelessly to bring the message of salvation to prisoners all across the state of Georgia. Don never missed an opportunity to talk about Jesus, and his years of ministry touched thousands of lives. Don is survived by his wife and ministry partner, Genene, his daughters Michelle (Alan) and Monique (John), grandchildren Maddie, Connor, Hailey and Chloe. Don was also dearly loved by his step-children and grandchildren. Don was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Doug. There is no doubt that upon arrival in Heaven, Don was told, "Well done, thy good and faithful servant." Services will be held to celebrate Don's life on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 10:00am at Mount Paran Church (Central Campus). The family will receive visitors from 9:00-10:00am. Graveside service at Georgia National Cemetery at 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Burning Bush Ministries, P.O. Box 500115, Atlanta, GA 31150. Arrangements are being serviced by Patterson and Son Canton Hill, 1157 Old Canton Rd., Marietta, GA. 30068 phone 770-977-9485.

It was such an honor, a privilege, and a true blessing to have been ministered by and then to minister with Don and the entire Burning Bush family. I know the Father placed you in my life, and countless many more, in our time of deepest need, for such a time as this, and I know also that you are hearing those beautiful words we each so desire to one day strive to hear, "Well done, My Good and Faithful Servant, Enter In....Your legacy and memory and love for the prisoner shall live on....Shalom My Friend....
