Colin Ruland Obituary
Colin is survived by his loving parents, Paul and Stacy Ruland of Sugar Hill, GA; sister and best friend Danielle; paternal grandparents Warren and Gail Ruland of Bradenton, FL; Uncle Mark Gordon of Miami, FL; Uncle Bruce and Aunt Leslie Gordon of West Hartford, CT; Uncle Timothy Davis and Aunt Susan Ruland of San Francisco, CA; cousins Evan and Megan Gordon of West Hartford, CT; and many other relatives and friends whom he deeply cherished. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Sidney and Marilyn Gordon of Boca Raton, FL.
Colin's life might seem short to many, but those who were touched by him understand that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. His zest for life and happiness left those around him in awe; his captivating smile could melt the hearts of those close to him; and his goofy sense of humor will never be forgotten. With Colin's passing, we remind others that his life is one to be celebrated. Although we will deeply miss him every day, we will treasure all the memories, and he will forever remain in our hearts.
Colin loved music, traveling to different places, and just spending time with his friends and family, but his biggest passion was for sports. Therefore, the family is asking that donations be made in his memory to Good Sports at https://goodsports.org/donate-online/ which provides new athletic equipment and apparel to disadvantaged young people nationwide.

Colin was a model young man. He brought nothing but joy and love to the world around him. Anyone who truly knew Colin will feel this loss forever. It was an honor to grow up by his side. Simply saying that I am sorry for the Ruland's loss does not do justice to the true empathy I have. May his soul rest in peace, and his spirit live forever.
