Dear Family Members,

I cannot think of a more gentle individual tha Dr. Loft. I NEVER knew him as Gerry! As a dental student, I recall that Dr. Loft's biggest reaction when patients were present was to raise his eye brows . . . slightly. That meant you should look at things one more time. Dental school can be pretty tough, but if Dr. Loft was covering you in clinic, you knew everything would be just fine. He still influences me and how I practice.

Dear Family Members,

When I joined the faculty over 30 years ago I quickly learned Gerry was was one of the finest dentists and friends a person could have. He was a wonderful teacher and a great human being. He tolerated me for many poor rounds of golf and I'll always be grateful he'd still ask me to play again the next weekend! He loved his family, colleagues, students and mankind. We will all miss him greatly. I wish all his family members great joy in your many memories of sharing in his life.

I'm so sorry to hear about Gerry. I enjoyed working with him [from 1989 until he retired the second time] and moved to Atlanta.
He loved talking about “the old practice days”, his children, and grandchildren.
Best wishes.

Mike
