Anderson Schiffbauer Obituary

EVANS, Ga. - Anderson Thomas Schiffbauer, The Son of Blair and Chris Schiffbauer entered into rest at University Hospital on Tuesday, January 24th, 2012. Born on January 23rd,2012, Anderson didn't get the ability to spend as much time on earth as his family anticipated through their faith, emotion, hope and love for him. Anderson was baptized and confirmed during his life in the name of his Roman Catholic faith by Fr. Scott Winchel from St. Mary's On The Hill Catholic Church under the Diocese of Savannah, Georgia. The loss of Anderson Thomas has devastated hundreds of people in our community here in Augusta, Georgia. The loss of Anderson Thomas has also touched the faithful in our community to an extent that is not measurable. The loss of Anderson Thomas brought many religions together in a significant yet wonderful fashion and gave faith to many individuals that they were truly workers of God and his kingdom. Born to his mother and father, Jessica Blair Schiffbauer and Christopher Thomas Schiffbauer, Anderson is survived also by his loving grandparents; Pete and Carmelina Schiffbauer, Ed and Sharon Burr, and Wayne and Kathy Wilkerson. Anderson is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members. The family will have an extremely secluded and private service for Anderson Thomas Schiffbauer at Platt's Funeral Home today. A precession will take place from Platt's Funeral Home to Anderson's final resting place in the historic Westover Memorial Park. His resting place is located directly next to the beautiful gardens of Westover Park where his parents had their stellar engagement photography captured prior to marriage 8 years ago by Barry Koenig. Although Anderson's life was short lived, he will always be remembered through the unprecedented impact that he made on a night and morning full of events that were only driven by faith and God. Anderson Thomas Schiffbauer is a true Angel in God's Kingdom and to have experienced his life and death on earth was to bare witness to a miracle that made non-believers believe and give great power to those who had an unprecedented faith in him as an Angel of God. If so desired, the family is accepting flowers for Anderson Thomas at Platt's Funeral Home on North Belair Road in Evans, Georgia. Anderson's father, Christopher Thomas Schiffbauer will be dispersing the flowers to the nursing homes in our local area as a gift from an Angel (Anderson Thomas) in an attempt to give faith and joy to those that will appreciate the touch of an Angel and to those in need of a simple smile. Chris Blair and Grandparents, I just saw this poem and thought of Anderson Thomas. He truly is your angel now.

My Angel in The Sky

My angel in the sky,
who comes to me
in dreams at night.
You barely whispered
a single word,
but when I close my eyes,
your voice is heard.
Telling me you'll be alright,
that you're not scared,
you're in the light.

And now whenever
I need you near,
I close my eyes
and you appear.
You're my angel in the sky,
who comes to me
in dreams at night.
To let me know
that you're alright,
you are with God,
you are in the light.

We all love you so much and pray that God grants you strength, love and continued faith during this diffucult time.
Love,
The Schiffbauer and Machesky Families from Uniontown, PA.
