McDaniel Family, I am so sorry for your loss. I met Mr. Hal at the S&S on Walton Way and enjoyed my lunch conversing with him. He knew of my family that worked for GA Power many moons ago, and was so pleasant to talk & lunch with. He is missed, especially at World Series time! May your memories bring you much joy and comfort.

I got to know Hal in the past 7 years, as he was a regular customer at S&S Cafeteria on Walton Way in Augusta. He would always come in to eat with his friend Charlie when I first started working there, and even after his friend stopped coming in, he still always came back to see us. We had many good, and sometimes funny conversations. He knew all of my dining room staff as well as the line crew staff & the take out shop staff at the cafeteria. We will all truly miss him and I can honestly say he touched a lot of our lives in his own special way. I know without a doubt that Hal will be truly & deeply missed by everyone he knew. We (the staff of S&S Cafeteria) want to send our deepest sympathies, as well as our prayers for the family.
